About
I have recently returned from a volunteer project with BOSF at Nyaru Menteng where I assisted with supporting BOSF in their day-to-day enrichment and other required tasks which cares for orangutans which are in their care due mainly to being rescued from the pet trade. So moved was I by what I saw that I have signed up to return at the end of March 2025 to spend a further 12 days volunteering. I have also signed up to volunteer at the Samboja facility two weeks prior making my total time there 24 days. This time however I would like to raise additional funds which support them in their work. There are a number of orangutans which rely on the support of BOSF for many sad reasons which are predominantly created due to unauthorized human actions, and this opportunity allows me to give my time towards a worthy cause.
Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Australia is a non-profit organisation raising funds to rescue, rehabilitate & release orangutans since 2001. Listed as critically endangered, with estimated 50,000 remaining, without our collective help orangutans could be extinct in the wild within our lifetime.
