Walk from Point Peron

Uni Camp for Kids, Western Australia's oldest children's charity, has been dedicated to creating life-changing experiences for disadvantaged children since 1936. The organisation, along with its volunteers, works hand in hand with the WA community to provide constructive childhood experiences and positive role models for these children. One of the highlights of their efforts is the week-long summer camps held at Point Peron in Rockingham every January.

The summer camps aim to allow these kids to be kids, with a strong emphasis on fun, building relationships, and creating lifelong memories. The main goal is to provide a nurturing and enjoyable environment where children can have a break from their challenging circumstances and create positive experiences that will impact their lives.

To ensure the continuation of these impactful camps, Uni Camp for Kids relies on the generosity and support of the community. Recognising the increasing costs associated with running the camps, some of our volunteers, have taken it upon themselves to make a difference. On September 16th, they will embark on a 60-kilometre walk from Point Peron to The University of Western Australia to raise funds for Uni Camp for Kids' 2024 summer camps.

Every donation received goes directly towards supporting the 2024 summer camps, benefiting the children who participate. Uni Camp for Kids greatly appreciates any contribution, no matter how small, as it plays a significant role in allowing the charity to continue its vital work.
