As most know, Eva & Kai spent a great deal of time in Canberra NICU.
It was the special doctors and nurses that first brought them to life after their extremely unexpected early entrance to the world, then kept them going for months thereafter. We owe these people everything!
The Newborn Intensive Care Foundation (NICF) provides funding and support for the Centenary Hospital for Women and Children (at The Canberra Hospital where government funding/resources falls short. Over 750 babies a year are born in the Canberra and southern NSW area that need some kind of support, 300 of which need ventilation, others need a wide range of tests and treatments. NICF also provides/supports research and education for the region.
For Eva and Kai’s first birthday, instead of a present (believe me they have enough toys!) we’d like to suggest a donation to NICF so they can continue to have an impact for other babies/families in their time of need.
Any donation over $2 is tax deductible. More information can be found here: https://newborn.org.au/
