My partner Jamiela and I met a year ago, I also met her son a year ago. Her story touched my heart, it inspires me every day. I have embraced being in a father role with her son, Alessandro. I believe all children are our children, deserving of love. That a woman, is our mother, our sister, our daughter, our wife, deserving of respect. It has been very challenging and joyful, the experience so far has added a new perspective to my life. A further appreciation for the importance of love, care, kindness, compassion and generosity. That is why this year for my and Jamiela's birthday, we have decided to run a fundraising campaign, to raise funds in supporting two charities that resonate with our values and hearts and host an event where art created by children and women from the two charities will be auctioned to raise funds. 100% of the donations go to supporting these two charities: 1. Cahoots - supporting children living with a disability 2. Zonta House - supporting women who have experienced or are at risk of experiencing family and domestic violence.
