Pretty Empowering Girls

Sofia & Cha just completed the Twelve BatMItzvah program as part of their preparation for their coming of age celebration.

Twelve provided them with the unique opportunity to use their time, energy and skills to help others, shifting their focus from inwards to outwards and cultivating gratitude.

Through experiential learning, Sofia & Cha expanded their understanding about giving, inequality, the importance of kindness and how and why we should help others.

In Lieu of gifts for their upcoming BatMitzvah celebrations, the girls have chosen to support a cause that is important to them.

WHY PRETTY?

Pretty is often used in a superficial context with regards to female appearance. We want to go beyond the superficial and reclaim the power of pretty by using it to describe the true value of women and girls.

She’s pretty inspirational. She’s pretty brave. She’s pretty talented.

The vision is to create a world where girls are comfortable in their bodies and confident in themselves and conquering in their endeavours

The mission is to empower girls with the perspective, skills and support to develop and nurture a positive body image for themselves and others.
