About

Hi, my name is Serena De Comarmond and last week I returned to Australia after a 2 week long trip to Bali.

Whilst there I had a pretty life changing experience volunteering with Project Karma and Glen Hulley at the volcano exclusion zone, in the camps / shelters that have been set up for the locals who are no longer allowed in their homes.

The situation over there is dire and so now I am calling out to anyone who has visited Bali before to help us raise urgent funds to help feed the 90,000+ desperate and homeless Balinese locals living in these camps against their will.

For almost 3 months now, the local Balinese residents have been banned from entering the exclusion zone, where their homes are located and due to this they are being forced to live in camps that are understaffed, dirty, and have very little food, water and medical supplies.

The men, women and children in these camps are suffering and they need our help!

Personally visiting these camps and seeing the toll that being removed from their homes has taken to these people was an awful experience. They are depressed, scared and penniless and now it is our responsibility to help them out!

If you have ever visited and enjoyed time in Bali then its time to say thank you to the Balinese people by donating a few dollars to help them get through this dire situation.

I have joined forces with Glen Hulley and Project Karma who have a team volunteers on the ground over in Bali ready to purchase food, water & toiletries to be distributed to the thousands of families in need so that they can have basic items like rice to eat & nappies for their babies to wear.

With Project Karma's help I have set up a donations page and 100% of all funds raised from this page will be immediately sent over to the volunteers in Bali who will go and purchase food, water and toiletries and distribute them to the thousands adults and children in the camps.

Please, please find it in your heart to help our Balinese friends. Words cannot describe the fear and sadness I saw it the eyes of the people in the camps. They have lost their homes and their businesses. For the 90,000 plus Indonesians in these camps, these are desperate times.

We also invite you to personally volunteer at one of the camps in Bali if you are over there on Holiday. I did and it was an incredibly powerful experience for me. This can be arranged by contacting Project Karma via their website.

Bali needs us! It's time for Australian’s to stand up and answer their call.
