As Mrs. Australia International 2018, I am fundraising for Act For Kids. Act For Kids prevents and treats child abuse and neglect within Australia.
Growing up my parents fostered children. It was at a young age when I learnt about abuse. I believe that every child deserves to have a happy and safe childhood free from abuse. Join me in making a difference during my Mrs. Australia journey.
Act for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect.
Act for Kids have helped thousands of children and families for over 28 years. Act for Kids operates 22 centres with a team of over 300 staff from Adelaide all the way up to the Cape York Peninsula. Their services have expanded to include integrated therapy, support for vulnerable families, special workshops to empower kids and safe houses in remote Aboriginal communities.
Act for Kids is a not-for-profit organisation working tirelessly to prevent and treat child abuse. Act for Kids provides free professional therapy for children who have suffered abuse and support for families at risk. They rely heavily on donations to reach out to more children and families in need.
