The Birthing Kits Project UWA aims to provide expecting mothers in developing countries with clean birth supplies. We assemble birthing kits that include soap, gloves, a sterile blade, a cord tie, gauze and a plastic sheet.
For just $5, one simple kit can stop preventable infections and deaths of mothers and babies from childbirth.
Our goal is to assemble at least 400 birthing kits this year - 400 clean, safe births for women and their newborns in under-resourced areas with limited access to healthcare facilities.
Any donation, great or small, can help us improve maternal and infant health outcomes around the world.
