And we made it!!! 2 days, ~40 km, sun, snow, ice, roads, footpaths, boulders, and mud!
From the hustle of Hobart's CBD, past the historic Cascade Brewery, into the foothills of kunanyi, up for an icy evening at the Springs, pre-dawn sidling across snow-covered boulders to Wellington Falls, through thick scrub to Mount Montague, a steep descent down into Mountain River and the final stretch into the Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival festival site in Grove!
And all of this for a great cause - to raise awareness about the challenges and struggles of Hobart's homeless, and to raise funds along the way. More than $8300 has been raised for Hobart Women's Shelter and Bethlehem House.
We have been amazed and inspired by the generosity of you, the supporters. From our old and new friends who have donated their time and resources, to all of the people who have been inspired to donate their hard-earned dollars to help those in need. Thank you and good on you all!
We may have heavy legs, but our hearts are lightened!
