It's cold in Hobart this time of year, but you can warm the cockles of your heart with a donation to Shimmy Mob. All proceeds benefit Mara House- a service of Colony 47 for young women at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Shimmy Mob is a global belly dance flash mob event, uniting dancers around the world in celebration of our dance, but more importantly in raising funds and awareness for local organisations working in the domestic violence sector.
Pay attention this World Bellydance Day, and you may catch the flash mob in action! Stay tuned- details of belly dance workshops and performances coming too! All to support the work of Mara House- connecting young homeless women with opportunities, advocacy and education.
Funds donated to the My cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Colony 47. The trustees will always disburse funds to the nominated cause, however in the case that that is not possible, the funds will be disbursed to a DGR charity at the trustees discretion.
