We are looking for anyone out there who will help our family raise money to support Glen who is a loving and hard working husband of 27 years, a father of three beautiful children, grandfather of two precious grandchildren and honest and reliable friend to many.
We are trying to raise funds for Glen in order to send him out of the country or overseas to gain what is called, "stem cell therapy", or even supplies that will help such as, renovations and specific items like wheelchairs etc., that will help the family provide the adequate care and help he needs.
Glen is 47 years old, currently hospitalised and suffering multiple sclerosis a disease that is suddenly declining and taking away his life and opportunity to be there for special life changing events. He is currently facing loosing his job, licence and being unable to participate in his 23 year old daughter's wedding which is only a year away.With the way things are declining there is doubt towards whether he will be able to make the wedding, and already a missed opportunity towards him being able to walk his daughter down the aisle or participate in a father daughter dance, as he is now struggling to walk and is currently bedridden.
These are only some of the issues he is facing and life changing opportunities that he will struggle to be apart of which is visibly breaking his heart and having a huge impact on his family. Glen Southon has worked hard his whole life to provide and support for his family and friends and is now struggling to do this due to his condition. This has caused a lot of stress on his wife and younger daughter as his wife works tries to work full time for financial reasons and has to rely on their younger daughter and others to help her care for him fulltime.
Due to his current hospitalisation and the way the disease is progressing we are calling out for help to try and stop the disease from taking away his life. As the treatment is only offered and set up to be given within other parts of the country and world we are looking to raise money to send him elsewhere to receive treatment to prevent his life from being taken and to allow family and friends more time to spend with him as he is dearly loved by all.
