Help us raise much needed money for the University of Queensland Dugong Conservation Research Program! Currently listed as vulnerable to extinction, only about 100,000 dugongs remain in Australian and Torres Strait Island waters. In an average year, about 60 are found dead on beaches, for reasons that are unknown. Without a better understanding of dugong physiology, it's impossible to know what kills them and why the population is declining. The University of Queensland dugong research team is leading research into dugong health in Australia, but are limited due to poor funding. By raising much needed funds we will directly help the UQ Dugong Conservation Research team to better understand and protect these majestic sea cows. What's a dugong...?
