About
We've had a fabulous response to our appeal to date, but due to the the severity of the Ebola crisis we have increased our goal in order to provide help to our kids and the communities we work in as a whole.
West Africa is currently in the midst of the most deadly outbreak of the Ebola virus on record. The virus carries a fatality rate of up to 90% and there is no known cure. Sierra Leone has so far recorded over 450 known cases and over 200 deaths.
In order to do as much as we can to prevent this virus reaching any of our children and team in Sierra Leone, we are creating cleaning sanitising stations at all of our centres. OrphFund runs 4 large Children's Villages in the country and has 1750 children within its projects all of whom are at risk from this devastating outbreak.
Please help us respond with haste by making a donation today. Funds will be used to create Tippy Taps (Hand washing stations which reduce the spread of germs) and help purchase sanitizers and soaps which have been recommended as ways to prevent Ebola by the medical authorities out there. The taps will be used by anyone entering any of our centres scattered around the country. With your help we will ensure that our children have the least possible risk of infection during this dire situation.
You guys are doing so well!! So much love xx
