Run to Save-A-Dog (& Cat)

Sally Coggins is a local veterinarian from the Stonnington Council region. After successfully completing her first 2 marathons in 2013, she is hoping to post a new PB and break the 4 hour barrier at this years Medibank Melbourne Marathon Festival, 12th October 2014.

Through her work as a local veterinarian, Sally has been impressed by the amazing work performed by Save-A-Dog Scheme and wants to help raise some much needed funds for this incredible organisation.

Save-A-Dog Scheme is a community-based not-for-profit animal welfare organisation that saves hundreds of dogs and cats from being killed every year. They have a no-kill philosophy and provide veterinary care to sick or injured animals so they can live out their natural lifespan.

Where Your Money Goes
Save-A-Dog Scheme relies on donations for its continuing existence and does not receive any government funding. Donations to Save-A-Dog Scheme help with the general care of the dogs and cats, and the maintenance of the organisation. The greatest expense is for veterinary treatment, which includes the care of sick and injured dogs and cats. These animals are nursed back to health rather than being destroyed as they may be elsewhere.

Sally will be training hard to ensure she reaches her goal and is asking everyone in the community to dig deep and support this amazing local organisation!
