On Dec 13 2013 our local community is holding their annual street party and part of this event is going to be a auction to raise funds for a charity or organisation that has assisted community families over the past year. This year we are raising money to purchase a portable ultrasound machine for the Emergency Department for Kapunda Hospital. The family which nominated the hospital have needed the care and support of the hospital when at 35 weeks they lost their baby after the mother suffered severe pregnancy complications including rupturing her liver, it was the care and support they received at the hospital that actually saved the mothers life before she was airlifted to a major city hospital for surgery & further treatment. We are aiming to raise $5,500 for this ultrasound machine as this piece of equipment will be very useful in Hospital and will benifit alot of people around our community
