And an article printed about me in local newspaper:
The Nutrition Centre is an orphanage that is home to over 120 children with HIV, AIDS, and special needs.
The Orphanage is located on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia.
For November and December, 2013, I will be volunteering at the orphanage. I previously visited the orphanage in 2011. I have made it my mission to go back ever since and have finally got the chance. Over the university break I will be in Asia lending a hand and sharing my love with the many beautiful children at the orphanage.
With the funds raised I am hoping to decorate the room in the orphanage where the children live, sleep, eat and lay every day. I want to paint the ceiling and the walls with bright, visually stimulating designs. I want to hang things from the roof, so when the children lay on their backs, they have something to watch. I would also like to provide therapy tools, such as foam rollers, wheelchairs, walking frames, balls and pillows. Toys which promote fine motor development and sensory tactile skills as well as bigger toys for gross motor development (for the children who have the ability to use them). I would also like to provide some meat or fresh fruit and vegetables to add some nutrition to the children's staple diet of rice.
There is so much I would like to do, but I can't do any of it without your help!
Please give generously, every dollar helps! If you leave your email address with your donation I will be sure to include you in my contacts and send email and photo updates of the orphanage, the children and the work I do!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
