In May 2013, I will take to the Pacific Ocean and commence a journey to become the first white man
to circumnavigate Samoa by kayak. The vision for this project is to push the boundaries of personal
adventure, and in the process, raise money and awareness for youth suicide.

As the journey unfolds, I will be joined on the water at various villages by local fishermen,
traditional outrigger groups, surfers and other boats. Although I will be by myself for most of the
300km journey, I will not be alone. This is a key message for our youth, who should always have
someone to turn to in difficult times.
