To celebrate 12 months of the Kallan Lodge Library program, we are jumping off a boat in Port Philip Bay this July, (WITHOUT WETSUITS!) and working together to swim ourselves to shore.
We hope to emerge from the 11° water on the shores of Point Lonsdale approximately 60-75 minutes later to raise much needed funds to maintain the Kallan Lodge Library program.
Since 2022, the Kallan Lodge Library has placed literature and music libraries in adolescent mental health wards across Australia, including:
- John Hunter Hospital
- Shellharbour Hospital
- Canberra Hospital
- Adelaide Women's and Children's Hospital
- baiyangbaiyaang Residential Eating Disorders Centre, Charlestown
Every month, one book and one vinyl record are sent to our libraries to maintain fresh stock and offer new points of conversation between patients and staff. To keep this monthly program running, we aim to raise $2000 from this swim.
Donate now to support Ashleigh, Tim, Russell, Nick, Jodie, James and Nicole brave the icy waters and help keep our monthly program running.
