The Arts Captains at Whitsunday Anglican School are proud to lead a special fundraising initiative—a music “practice-a-thon”— in support of one of our students, Asher Hobbs. Asher is a passionate and dedicated musician who is currently undergoing treatment for osteosarcoma, and this event is our way of standing beside her during this challenging time. This unique event will see students take part in a combined, continuous 12-hour effort of music-making, showcasing not only their commitment to the arts, but also their support for a valued member of our school community. Through this fundraiser, we aim to raise $5000 to donate to 'Anya's Wish', a world-leading research program at the Children’s Cancer Institute, focused on finding treatments for osteosarcoma. Every contribution, big or small, will help make a meaningful difference and show the strength, care, and unity of our school community.
