Robe local Rhiannon, a proud mum of five, is stepping up in a powerful way to raise awareness about bullying in schools as part of the national campaign Bullying. No Way!

Taking on an inspiring physical challenge, Rhiannon will walk 40 kilometres from Kingston SE to Robe, raising vital funds along the way to help create a dedicated Bullying. No Way! safe space at Robe Primary School. On Friday 26 June, she’ll set out on this journey and is expected to arrive in Robe between 2:00–4:00pm.

“Forty kilometres is nothing compared to what some kids face every day. If this walk helps even one child feel safer or more supported, then every step is worth it.” says Rhiannon.

Bullying. No Way! brings schools and communities together to build inclusive environments where every child feels they belong.

“Research shows young people are safer when they feel seen and heard, have positive peer connections and experience a sense of belonging at school,” says Anne Grayson, Principal of Robe Primary School.

The proposed amphitheatre-style safe space will:

– Support mental wellbeing through quiet reflection and a safe retreat

– Amplify student voice through performances and student-led events

– Build connection through shared learning and community gatherings

– Provide calm, nature-based spaces for emotional regulation
