The Mt Macedon Memorial Cross provides a spectacular setting for the ANZAC Day dawn service, which honours the sacrifice of veterans and their families, salutes their service and seeks to learn from their experiences. This iconic ANZAC Day dawn service is organised completely by volunteers together with the generous contributions and grants from local businesses and the community.
While there have been delays to site restoration works, the Dawn Service will go ahead at the Cross Reserve. No matter what, we will ensure the 2026 service takes place to honour those who have served — that is our promise to the community and our supporters — even if the format or exact positioning looks slightly different this year.
The theme for 2026 will be Passing the Torch, Enduring Bonds, reflecting the way remembrance and service is carried forward by new generations, while recognising the unbreakable connections between those who have served and sacrificed.
Donate in memory of someone you know who has served our country. Every dollar counts – please make a donation today - thank you.
