It is with profound shock and disbelief that I share heartbreaking news from within our community.

Maggie and Josh have recently found out they will lose their second pregnancy. At 20 weeks, Maggie has found out that she again, will need to deliver a baby who will not survive- a loss that was unforeseeable, medically unexplained, and shattering in every direction.

Many of you know Maggie as someone who has shown up for our community again and again over the last few years. When her business was targeted and ultimately collapsed under anti-Zionist pressure, it was the same community who held her, and she has never forgotten that. She is not a stranger here. She has been one of our fiercest advocates and one of our gentlest presences.

Maggie and Josh had been planning to travel to Israel prior to this pregnancy, to pray for their son Ellie, who died last year. With this new loss, the need for that journey has only deepened. My hope is to take their first trip to Israel together as a family, to grieve, to pray, and to create some ground under their feet again. That trip, along with therapy and basic support as they stabilise their work and finances, represents a path toward healing that they cannot currently carry alone.

Our goal is to raise $30,000 to ensure they can:

• access therapy and specialised counselling

• keep their business float during this period of recovery

• and undertake a two-week trip to Israel sometime in 2025–26 to pray for Ellie and honour both of their children.

This is not meant to erase their pain. It is meant to make sure they don’t have to carry that pain without support, and that they do not have to choose between grief and survival.

Between the lighting of the candles and the settling of night, Maggie and Josh gave birth to their daughter, who returned quietly beyond this earthly plane.
