Doing it for Dawson 💛
In January 2025 2yo Dawson was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma- cancer in both of his eyes.
Since then he has undergone numerous treatments, plan B treatments when plan A failed. Sadly, the cancer hasn’t responded well and Dawson now faces the reality of losing both of his eyes.
This journey has turned his family’s world upside down.
His mum, Leanne, has had to take significant time off work to be by Dawson’s side through hospital stays, treatments, and endless appointments. Every moment is focused on keeping her little boy safe, comforted, and loved during the hardest fight of his young life.
Dawson’s big sister, Tilly, only 8 years old is showing strength far beyond her years. Living with type 1 diabetes herself, she has had to adapt to long periods away from home and time apart from her mum while Dawson receives treatment in hospital.
Their family of three is being stretched in ways no family should ever have to endure.
On January 23, Stu will shave his head on his birthday and grow it until his next birthday in solidarity with Dawson. With existing hair loss, the growth won’t be pretty — but this journey isn’t about appearances. It’s about standing beside Dawson and his family, raising vital funds to ease the financial pressure, and reminding them they are not alone.
The money raised will go towards easing the financial burden this has placed on the family and ensuring Leanne can continue to support Dawson through treatment and adjusting to their new way of life.
Every donation, share, and message of support helps lift a little of the weight this family carries.
Together, we are Doing it for Dawson. 💛🎗️
