I’m fundraising as a SunRice Festival Ambassador to help create a safer, more inclusive play space for toddlers and preschoolers in Leeton. Our local playground is well suited to school-aged children, but it doesn’t currently cater for our youngest community members. With Leeton having a large and growing number of young families, many parents have shared that the space isn’t safe or practical for children under school age. There’s limited age-appropriate equipment, no fencing to support supervision, and no shade, which makes it difficult to use during the day. This cause gained strong momentum through a recent community petition, with overwhelming support from local families who want to see a dedicated toddler and preschool-friendly addition to the playground. All funds raised through this campaign will go toward supporting the upgrade of our local playground to better meet the needs of young children and their families. The project has the support of Leeton Rotary Central as my nominated charity, and I am working closely with local organisations and Council to ensure the funds make a real, lasting impact. Every contribution, big or small, helps bring us closer to a playground where our littlest locals can play safely, confidently, and joyfully. Thank you for supporting our community and our kids. 💛🛝
