Each year the Parramatta Memorial Swimming Club (PMSC) Members participate in a long distance charity swim, raising funds for The Cancer Centre for Children - The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.


Swimmers are given 60 minutes to swim as far as they can in the allocated time. Swimmers both young and old, and of all abilities proudly participate in the event to raise funds for a great cause.


Thank you to The Cancer Centre for Children at Westmead for all the work that you do. The Club is proud to support your work through this fundraising effort.

The Club’s annual Long Distance Charity Swim took place on 3 January 2026. 20 Members participated in the event, swimming a combined total of 46.9km or 938 laps. One of our members, Janelle, swum a whopping 3.45km! An amazing effort by all! We have surpassed our fundraising goal!! Thank you for everyone's support of our fundraiser so far! We are over halfway to our goal of $1000. The Long Distance Charity Swim takes place this Saturday (3/1/26) and kicks off at 7am. For those swimming, best of luck with it all. And for anyone who would like to come along and support, you are more than welcome. Please continue to share this fundraiser with your friends and family. Your support for the event and the Cancer Centre for Children at Westmead is greatly appreciated.
