This is an urgent plea for Goli Kouhkan, a 25-year-old undocumented Baluch woman, who was married at the tender age of 12. She became pregnant at 13 and tragically at the beginning of age 18 she was sentenced to execution. This sentence was for her alleged involvement in her husband's death, following years of reported abuse.

Under interrogations, Goli, who had neither a lawyer nor any knowledge of her rights, accepted full responsibility for the killing under psychological pressure and threats. That “confession” later formed the basis for imposing the death sentence on her, without the court properly examining the context of domestic violence or her particular circumstances. Goli is now 25-year-old, having spent 7 years on death row and having an 11-year-old son waiting for her.

The victim's family agreed to forgo the execution if they receive €100k known as blood money, but Goli comes from one of the most marginalized and one of the poorest communities in Iran and can't afford this amount of money. Following that, the Qasim Child Foundation, a registered charity in Australia, which had previous experience in saving many lives in Iran, stepped forward and started a fundraising campaign.

Raising the full amount of €100k by mid-December will only be possible through widespread empathy and collective participation. Let's put aside all of differences and focus solely on saving the life of an innocent human being. Every donation can make a difference.
