My name is Rohan and on my 18th birthday (February 15th, 2026), I’ll be running 100km to raise funds for headspace, an organisation that plays a vital role in supporting the mental health of young people aged 12 to 25. Over the past few years, I’ve seen first-hand how many teenagers and young adults struggle silently with stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s heartbreaking how many young people feel like they have no one to turn to.

Running has been my anchor through some of my own challenges. It’s given me structure, purpose, and a way to process stress when life feels overwhelming. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have supportive communities around me, through family, friends, school, and sport, and that safety net has made an enormous difference. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the level of support I have, and that’s exactly why I want to use running, something that has helped me so much, to help others too.

headspace provides young people with a place to talk, seek help, and feel understood during some of the toughest moments of their lives. So as a way to give back, I’m trying to raise as much money as I can to support my local headspace centre in Box Hill (Victoria).

I’ll be running the full 100km on my birthday, and any support you can give - no matter how small - will genuinely make a difference. I would be very grateful if you could donate or share this page with your friends and family. It only takes a minute and means a lot, both to me and to the young people who rely on headspace.

Thank you so much for your support,

Rohan

A brief update to let you know I was up early again this morning because I was lucky enough to be invited back into the ABC Melbourne breakfast radio studio for a follow-up chat with Sharnelle and Bob. We had a great chat and they were very impressed I didn't get any blisters yesterday! You can listen to the interview here: https://www.abc.net.au/listen/programs/melbourne-breakfast/breakfast/106335520 (Start at 1:04:12) I was also really excited that The Age featured my run in an online article today which will hopefully be in the print edition tomorrow. Thanks to Carolyn for writing the article and to Luis for coming along yesterday to get great photos. You can access the article here: https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/he-smashed-it-teen-marks-18th-birthday-with-100km-run-for-charity-20260212-p5o1u2.html I continue to be blown away by everyone's support and all the new donations that have come in over the past 2 days. A huge thank you! It was wonderful to read in The Age article how this money will support headspace's essential work.

We did it!!1 Today was the day and I'm so pleased to let you know that my 100k for headspace Box Hill was a huge success. I started running at 4am and finished in 8 hours, 58 minutes and 12 seconds. I'm absolutely thrilled with that time given the hot weather and the fact I've been unwell all week. The most enormous thanks for all your support - I couldn't have done it without you. And it was amazing to see so many of you there in person today. What a way to celebrate my 18th birthday!

Wow!! I’m blown away by all your support. To have exceeded $2000 in the first 24 hours is incredible. I can’t thank you all enough for your generous donations - it means a lot to me and to headspace and all the young people headspace supports. I’m in the process of getting access so I can thank you all individually. But for now, just know how grateful I am!
