My name is Rohan and on my 18th birthday (February 15th, 2026), I’ll be running 100km to raise funds for headspace, an organisation that plays a vital role in supporting the mental health of young people aged 12 to 25. Over the past few years, I’ve seen first-hand how many teenagers and young adults struggle silently with stress, anxiety, and depression. It’s heartbreaking how many young people feel like they have no one to turn to.
Running has been my anchor through some of my own challenges. It’s given me structure, purpose, and a way to process stress when life feels overwhelming. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have supportive communities around me, through family, friends, school, and sport, and that safety net has made an enormous difference. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the level of support I have, and that’s exactly why I want to use running, something that has helped me so much, to help others too.
headspace provides young people with a place to talk, seek help, and feel understood during some of the toughest moments of their lives. So as a way to give back, I’m trying to raise as much money as I can to support my local headspace centre in Box Hill (Victoria).
I’ll be running the full 100km on my birthday, and any support you can give - no matter how small - will genuinely make a difference. I would be very grateful if you could donate or share this page with your friends and family. It only takes a minute and means a lot, both to me and to the young people who rely on headspace.
Thank you so much for your support,
Rohan
