Buster is a blind and deaf rescue pug (in the care of Pug Rescue and Adoption Victoria) who has already overcome so much in his life. Now, he’s facing another challenge: a 4mm malignant lump has been found on his left front leg. This brave little soul urgently needs surgery to remove the lump before it grows and threatens his health further.

In addition to the lump removal, Buster also requires a dental clean to ensure his overall well-being. The total cost of his care is $2,500, which we need to fundraise quickly.

We’re asking for your help. Every $5 donation enters you into a giveaway to win a Pug-pawrent and Puggie prize pack (Buster’s Bestie Box), filled with goodies for you and your fur-child. But more importantly, your donation helps give Buster the surgery he needs to live a longer, happier life.

Let’s rally together as Buster’s Buddies and show this special Pug just how loved he is. 💕

The Buster Bestie Box (valued at over $1,200) currently includes:

  1. Pet Portrait session with TDPetStudios for one dog including 3 x A3 size digital images valued at $270
  2. A full-set of Kylie's Colour Pops Ear-rings designed by Kylie Culloden valued at $150

Haylo Buster Buddies, Happy Hump Day! Buster hopes you've got lots of fun things planned for today. Since coming into Pug Rescue and Adoption Vic care Buster has discovered the joy of a walk and a visit to a paw-friendly cafe. Buster loves to sniff everything around him, and sometimes do it twice. He has learned how to toilet on a walk which he didn't know how to do before, and he has even learned how to sit at an intersection with two taps on his bum from his foster mum. Buster loves the smell of the coffee shop and, more impawtantly, he loves the cuddles he gets from from the Chef who was a Pug-mum herself. Buster is alway happy to give a hooman some snufffles, especially a hooman who smells of food!! Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared Buster's story on their socials - every dollar and every hooman who sees Buster's story helps get us closer to our goal and we really appreciate your generosity. If you haven't shared his story in a while or know of a FB Group that might be willing to share his story then please share - we're $650 away from our goal and we'd love to raise it by 30 Nov so we can get Buster treated before Christmas

Haylo Buster Buddies, fank you so much for our fur-end Natalie who donated overnight - any ticket can win and we're looking forward to drawing the winner soon. I wanted to share a little more about Buster and what a pawsome Pug he is. Buster is 12 years old and before being left at a local pound, was used for breeding until 11. He came to Pug Rescue and Adoption Victoria as a blind and deaf Pug who also needed to be fixed and with a growth on his abdomen to be removed. His blindness is due to dry eye and is managed with daily eye drops, and his lack of hearing is due to old age. Even with all of those challenges, it haven't stopped Buster from living his best life in Pug Rescue care. You can check out Buster's full adoption profile here https://www.pugrescue.org.au/adopt-buster/ and tomorrow I'll share with you how quickly Buster adapted to his new life in foster care ... it was quicker than you might think!

Haylo Buster Buddies, how is your Sunday morning going? Did you enjoy playgroup? Buster didn't make it to play group because Foster Dad said it was raining, and Buster doesn't like to get wet paws or fur. I promise you that Foster Dad will have to make it up to Buster and his foster siblings with lots of cuddles and time on the couch since Foster mum is away for a couple of days (she's still working hard at raising money for him though!) Buster wanted to showcase how handsome he looks in his favourite outfit from Pug Parties. Buster, and his foster siblings Rosie and Kenji, have all had a paw in the design of the Pugs n Stripes collection - they made sure that it was harness and toilet friendly, machine washable and super soft on their fur to name just a few things they demanded from the designer! If you'd like to learn more about the Pugs n Stripes collection, and how pugging pawfect it is for brachy breeds, you can find them on FB/Insta @pugparties, as well as their website pugparties.com Buster makes a regular appearance as a guest supermodel on their socials so it's a good place to see what he's up to when he's not snacking or snoozing.

Haylo Buster Buddies, it's FRIYAY! and Buster got kisses from his favourite Bark Park Auntie, Auntie Charnelle. Buster loves visiting Bark Park because there is a tunnel in the Little Yappers area that he fits into just nicely, where he can while away his visit in comfort and safety. Plus, Auntie Charnelle will pawsonally deliver him a pup-cup if he's been extra cute ... I mean good ... and he can have it without Rosie or Kenji stealing it from him! Auntie Charnelle kindly donated a play day, a pup-cup and a Christmas t-shirt to Buster's Bestie Box and we know the winner is going to be very happy with that prize. If you're looking for a play date or a play area that has lots of educational / enriching toys and games then you should head to Bark Park for a play. You can find Bark Park at www.barkpark.com.au or on FB @barkparkplaycentre and Insta @BarkPark_

Haylo Buster Buddies, how has your day been? Did you get out and about noting that it stopped raining in Melbourne today?? Buster wanted to say that he is happy that its stopped raining because he does not like getting his paws or fur wet and although pooping in the house means he doesn't get wet, it doesn't make for a happy Mum and Dad and they provide the treaties! Buster wants to say FANK YOU to his friend Jackie Gowland from Functional Canine for donating to his Buster's Bestie Box. Jackie is a pawsome Pet Nutritionist and she donated two meal recipes that any Pawrent can create for their Pug. Rosie, Kenji and Buster all eat meals designed by Jackie, and they give their four paws of approval for taste and nutritional support. You can find Jackie on Facebook / Insta @functionalcanine and her website https://functionalcanine.com/

Haylo Buster Buddies, how has your day been? Buster is doing well and wanted to FANK YOU to the lovely Hooman's who donated to his campaign over the last couple of days. Thanks to you we're now only $650 short of our fundraising goal! Today we wanted to share a photo of Buster meeting a wonderful donor at Bark Park (Buster's home away from home when it's raining outside). Barbara generously donated to Buster's campaign and also gave him lots of pats and treaties which are two of Busters favourite things. Buster wishes that he could meet every donor in pawson but understands that we might not achieve it in the short term, but is always to happy to offer a snuffle or a lick when he does, so please feel free to say 'haylo' if you see Buster at a Pug Rescue event, at Bark Park or playgroup. Without your love and generosity, Buster wouldn't be looking forward to getting his MCT removed and back on track to finding his fur-ever family.

Haylo Buster Buddies, how has your day been? Buster has spent the day recovering from his big day yesterday, and getting ready for the next meet and greet we have planned - keep an eye out for the details next week as Buster would love to meet you if you're in the Knox City area. Today Buster wanted to say a huge FANK YOU to Auntie Madelon at Boujee Bowl for the PUGGING PUGTASTIC donation to Buster's Bestie Box - a Boujee Bowl, Boujee plushie and 2 toys! Boujee Bowl's are pugtastic because they mean a puggie doesn't have to dip down too far to have a drink which is much better for a puggie's digestion, and the plushie is a pawsome snuggle buddy. You can find out more about the Boujee Bowl at https://www.boujeebowl.com.au/ and on Insta @boujeebowl.au

Haylo Buster Buddies, what a day we have had! Buster meet sooo many lovely hooman's at Ballam Park who gave him lots of cuddles, kisses and pats, and a lot of hooman's also donated to his campaign which has humbled him (and me) more than you'll ever know. Buster wanted to say a huge FANK YOU to everyone who donated on-line or gave his Foster-mum cash to put in on their behalf - collectively they donated $461 today and have shrunk his outstanding amount to just $710 by 30 Nov - we're getting closer! Buster is now taking a much deserved nap with his foster brother and sister, and will be having a yummy dinner when he wakes up. As always, we ask that you share Buster's campaign on your socials to get the message out and paws-crossed we reach our goal by 30 Nov!

Haylo Buster Buddies, how have you spent this cold and wet day (for those of us here in Melbourne) - Buster went to Bark Park for a snuffle and to meet some very generous donors and we want to say FANK YOU to everyone who donated today. We will share the photos of today's visit next week, we promise. Our other BIG NEWS is that Buster and I will be at the Ballam Park Market (Stall 106) tomorrow from 9am-2pm. So if you're in the Frankston (Melbourne) area and have time to pop in to say 'Haylo" and get a kiss, lick or snuffle from Buster - we'll be in the Pug Parties tent which has a purple top (you can't miss it). Buster loves meeting his Buddies and would love to FANK YOU in pawson. As always, we ask that you share the fundraising page on your socials to get the word out - we're only $1,200 away from our goal with 22 days to go!!

OH MY PUG BUSTER BUDDIES, we're almost halfway to our fundraising goal. Buster was not too keen on the pawty hat but he did appreciate the cuddle I have him on your behalf! Buster is going to be out and about over the next few weekends at events with me and possibly his foster brother and sister - so we'll let you know where we are so you can pop by for an inpawson snuffle/cuddle if you have time. So pawlease keep an eye out for our announcements. Also, FANK YOU to everyone who donated in the last 24 hours and to everyone who shared Buster's fundraising page - we will get to our goal faster if more people learn about Buster so please continue to share his story and his updates as we try to get him healthy for his puggily-ever-after 😘
