Help Max McGillivray Represent Australia at the 2025 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.
At just 16 years old, Max McGillivray from the Northern NSW coast has achieved something truly incredible — he’s been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships.
Max may not be local but his family certainly is. Katrina Davey, Max's mum, along with her siblings Ben & Clare were all born and bred in Seymour. There wouldn't be too many that have not heard the Davey name around town. A likeable family who also are committed to local sporting groups and giving back to the community.
It’s a massive moment for Max, who was once nervous about even getting on a board. It wasn’t until around the age of 10 that he really felt comfortable in the ocean — and since then, he hasn’t looked back. His passion, perseverance, and dedication to the sport have seen him rise through the ranks, and now he has the chance to compete on the world stage.
But this journey comes with significant costs — travel, accommodation & training are just some of the areas that come with big expenses. That’s why we’re reaching out to the local community to help get Max to Peru and make his dream a reality.
Every dollar helps — and every bit of support brings him one wave closer to representing Australia with pride. Let’s rally behind Max & his family to help send this humble, hard working Aussie teen to the world stage!
No amount is too small, generosity is generosity, it doesn't have to come at a big price, it's the contribution that counts.
