Rupert Smoker’s family has chosen to honour his incredible life by supporting Hagar Australia, an organisation dedicated to building communities free from the trauma of human trafficking, slavery, and abuse.
Rupert’s two boys identified this cause as being of great significance to him, due to his close relationship with somebody personally affected by human trafficking.
By joining this initiative, you can help continue Rupert’s legacy and vision of creating brighter futures for those most in need. Together, we can restore lives, empower communities, and honour Rupert’s remarkable spirit.
The need is urgent: more than 50 million people worldwide are trapped in trafficking and modern slavery, with the Asia-Pacific region carrying 60% of this burden. Globally, one in three women and girls experience violence and trauma. Yet there is hope. Every day, survivors are breaking free, healing, and rebuilding their lives.
