Assalamu alaikum (peace be upon you all), I will be running the Perth Marathon on 12th October to raise awareness of the situation in Gaza and the Palestinian struggle for basic human rights, freedom, and justice. After almost two years of the war, the people of Gaza are now struggling to survive in the face of manmade famine. Families are facing desperate situations, resorting to extreme measures to stay alive. Entire neighbourhoods have been cut off from food, water, and basic medical care. Right now, the need for baby formula is more urgent than ever before as mothers fill bottles with water and whatever food they can find. Thousands of children are being starved because there is no milk for children under the age of two. $1,010 AUD Will Feed 200 orphaned children in Gaza $290 AUD Will deliver a survival bundle which includes food for a month, 200L of clean water and urgent medical care for 10 people. $80 AUD Will deliver an emergency food pack The war started by Hamas has claimed the lives of more than 60,000 people - 18,500 of whom are children. At least 200 children have died from starvation, and over one million people are facing catastrophic food insecurity. This situation in Gaza is not a slow-moving tragedy. It is an accelerating disaster.
