🏔 King of the Hill – Every Hour. On the Hour. Until We Can’t. 🏔
On Saturday, 1st November 2025, Liz Sutton and I will step up to the start line for King of the Hill – one of the toughest endurance challenges around – all to raise funds for Can Assist Deniliquin.
In 2021, I was diagnosed with large B-cell mediastinal lymphoma – a diagnosis that changed my life in an instant. Thanks to incredible medical care, support from my family and friends, and sheer determination, I’m one of the lucky ones who has been given a second chance.
Can Assist was there for me when I needed it most, and now it’s my turn to give back.
Here’s the challenge:
* 4.2km course with a brutal 266m of elevation – pure uphill grind.
* We’ll run it every hour, on the hour, until we physically can’t continue.
* No shortcuts. No mercy. Just grit, sweat, and a whole lot of heart.
Every lap will hurt, but nothing compares to the battles cancer patients face every day. The pain we’ll feel is temporary – their fight is far tougher.
How you can help:
Your donation will help Can Assist Deniliquin provide vital support to locals undergoing cancer treatment – covering costs like travel, accommodation, food, and medical expenses. Every dollar makes a real difference.
💛 Donate today and help us turn every step uphill into hope for someone in the fight of their life.
Let’s climb this mountain together – one lap at a time.
