TLC Kitty Rescue is a Narrogin WA based cat rescue helping to rehome strays, hand raising abandoned kittens and decrease the feral population and ever growing cat problem. Hi, I’m Cathie from TLC. I have always been an animal lover and in seeing the need in my area, with the council not having the ability to house stray cats, I began to take them in and get in contact with Perth rescue organisations to help. The strays I take in to my home often come to me unwell and in poor conditions, the cost to get them healthy again can include vet care, medications, antibiotics, flea treatments, worming, food or all of the above, with all this cost being mine until I am able to get them into Perth rescues. Just in the past 6 months I have paid over $2000 in vet bills which has helped me save over 100 cats of all ages. While this is a cause close to my heart, the financial burden is large and also limits the amount of help I can actually provide, so I have created this fundraiser to assist me in having a greater impact for these precious animals. When these animals have been abandoned and left to fend for themselves, they come to me so frightened and skinny and often injured from fighting. Being in a small town, vet care is limited with after hours visits costing extra or a 2+ hour drive to Perth vets which add up to over $100 per trip just in travel dependant on fuel costs at the time. I am often making these trips multiple times per month. This is a labour of love and much more than money is invested into these little lives, my time, care and love goes into each cat or kitten that comes into my care. The love is always abundant, but unfortunately the money runs out… any help is greatly appreciated, any amount you have to spare is purrrfect.
