After enduring years of domestic violence and addiction-fueled trauma, Tegan did the unthinkable—she left. With nothing but her 1-year-old child in her arms and the strength it took to say “no more,” she walked away from the only life she knew to protect them both.
What she didn’t expect was to be left with absolutely nothing. Her ex stopped paying rent and took everything from her, leaving her to shoulder unpaid bills, a broken car, and the desperate need to find a smaller, safer home. She’s also going to need help fronting legal fees for custody, etc. But without help, she can’t afford the costs that come with starting over.
She’s isolated, with no family nearby and only able to work part time—which simply isn’t enough to make ends meet—yet she continues to fight, every single day, for stability, safety, and healing for her and her child.
