Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to you today to support our beloved friend Steve Cruickshank, affectionately known as Cruicky.

He has always been a beacon of strength and kindness, he is the friend who always has our backs, the one who would drop everything to lend a hand, and the person whose laughter could light up the darkest room. Now it’s our turn to be there for him!

Life, with its unpredictable twists, brought a severe, life threatening challenge to Steves doorstep. Steve was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Oesophageal cancer. As you can imagine this diagnosis has turned Steve and his family’s world upside down, with the road ahead looking to be incredibly tough, physically, emotionally and financially.

Steve was diagnosed in January 2025 and has already been through so much, undergoing Chemotherapy, Radiation weekly, peg feed incursion, PICC lines and countless hospital visits because of infections. As the medical Professionals can’t surgically remove this tumor because of where it is positioned, the process that Steve faces will likely be a long journey.

Steve is an extremely positive person and is determined to beat this.

Throughout his life, Steve has been a pillar of support for everyone around him including all of his friends and his beautiful family Kylie and their two young daughters Isabella and Indiana.

Now it is our turn to be his pillar!

We have created a (My Cause) page to help cover the costs of Steves medical expenses that might arise and support Kylie and the girls through this hard time. While Steve might be hesitant to accept this kind help, we know that in the long run, he will be deeply grateful for the love and support that will ease the financial burden on him and his family.
