About

Help Brady Recover & Return Home to Australia
(Aka - Captain Jack sparrow pirate magician)

Brady is a 38-year-old who grew up on the Gold Coast and became widely known for his incredible impersonations of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. He began his acting career at Dracula's Cabaret and later trained with top international magicians. As "Captain Jack Pirate Magician," Brady built a career entertaining at children's parties, pirate-themed cruises, corporate functions, and charity events.
Brady’s charity work included contributions to organisations such as the Starlight Foundation, River of Hope, and breast cancer fundraising initiatives, with proceeds supporting breast cancer research.

At the end of January 2025, our beloved Brady Mayer suffered a devastating accident. He fell from a flight of stairs in Eastern Europe, suffering a severe brain injury that required emergency surgery to remove part of his skull and relieve pressure on his brain.

He was placed in an induced coma, relying on a ventilator to breathe. While fighting for his life, he battled meningitis and pneumonia, but against the odds, he pulled through. After two weeks in a coma, Brady woke up—but his journey to recovery is far from over.

Brady’s Ongoing Battle
• He is suffering from significant memory loss, confusion, and struggles to recognize even close family members.
• His weight has dropped to just 45kg, making rehabilitation even harder.
• He needs extensive physical and cognitive therapy to regain strength and function.
• He will require a life-saving skull reconstruction surgery, costing up to $25,000 AUD.
• The daily hospital and rehabilitation costs are adding up to $300 per day, with no clear end in sight.

We Need Your Help to Bring Brady Home

Brady is a kindergarten teacher, an artist, and you may know him as the jovial magician Captain Jack. His wife Anna and younger brother Dean in Eastern Europe have used up their savings to support his medical care, but the financial burden is overwhelming.

We are raising funds to cover:
✅ His medical flight home to Australia, where he can heal surrounded by family
✅ His skull reconstruction surgery
✅ His rehabilitation and therapy

Doctors have said that Brady cannot fly yet due to pressure on his brain, but as soon as he is stable, we want to bring him back to Australia to give him the best chance at recovery.

Every Donation Helps

Brady has so much more life to live—he has dreams and goals he’s determined to pursue. But he cannot do it alone.

Every dollar brings him closer to recovery, and even a small donation can make a massive impact. If you’re unable to donate, please share Brady’s story to help us reach more people.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Brady and helping him get back to a full, thriving life.
