On the morning of the Australia Day public holiday (Monday 27th of January) a bushfire started near Dimboola, in Victoria's west, which has now burnt through 65,000 hectares of land, including the Little Desert Nature Lodge.
The Lodge has been completely destroyed, and while Mick, the Lodge's caretaker, and his family evacuated the site in time with all of the animals, their home which was on the Lodge's property was also lost to the fire.
Please help us support Mick, Vikky, and their son Sean to rebuild their home, and have a safe place to stay in the meantime.

I am saddened by the destruction of recent fires. I fully support the conservation work of Whimpey Reichelt. The Little Desert NP is an absolute treasure. I fully support a rebuild of the lodge and am appreciative of all you do for the LDNP.
