Every year, I swim the Cole Classic to honour the late, great comedian, writer and disability activist Stella Young, to raise money for charities she would’ve supported.
With the blessing of Stella’s family, I’m swimming this year to raise money for Para Foundation.
Israel’s retaliation for Hamas's attacks on Oct 7 has since maimed, disabled and killed thousands of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
By September last year, more than 22,500 kids had already suffered “life-changing” injuries, and Gaza is now home to the largest cohort of child amputees in modern history.
And there are Palestinian refugees in Australia – right now – who need our help.
Please help me raise $15,000 for Para Foundation, who assist Palestinian refugees in Australia by providing financial aid, resources and resettlement advice, ensuring Palestinian migrants and refugees live safe, happy, and fulfilling lives in Australia.
