In memory of my brave cousin Zara, who tragically lost her battle with leukaemia at just 13 years old, I am running 600km from Perth Children's Hospital to Albany, Western Australia to support the Kids Cancer Support Group, a charity that provides vital support to children and families affected by cancer.
Zara’s journey was one of courage and resilience, but her passing left a deep ache in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Now I want to turn this grief into a force for good—raising funds to help other kids and families who are going through their own battles with cancer.
Every donation helps provide a lifeline to those who need it most. Whether it's support for parents, access to critical services, or simply bringing a little joy during dark times, your contribution can make a meaningful difference.
Kids Cancer Support Group is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to connecting, supporting and enriching the lives of children diagnosed with cancer and other blood disorders at Perth’s Children’s Hospital. We are a local Perth based charity that is run by parents/caregivers who have experienced Childhood Cancer/Blood Disorders firsthand. We ‘get it’ and understand that everyone’s situation is unique. We provide tailored, practical and peer to peer support that meets the specific needs of the families. Our support is all encompassing. We are inclusive of the whole family starting at diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.
