FINAL STRETCH!! We've managed to keep all 66 students enrolled through 2025 - we just have a final $7000 AUD to raise to ensure we can cover Final Term fees for all students and get them through their final Form 2 exams!! Let's do this!!! --- In 2024, with your help, we were able to successfully support 66 students from Homa Bay Village to commence their High School studies before the phasing out of the old curriculum... AND THEY ALL PASSED WITH FLYING COLOURS! So, in 2025, we're looking to do the same - appealing to your generosity to ensure these 66 students can continue onto Form 2... and be one year closer to completing their secondary school studies! As with last year, costs to support a student for the year are: - $280 covers full education costs - $145 covers tuition only - $75 provides half-bursary (which the community may be able to supplement) Given various issues that have arisen for students during the year (ranging from sexual abuse, to theft of materials and equipment) we will be keeping any additional funds aside to cover unanticipated costs associated with keeping them in school. In 2025, we are also running a parallel campaign to support the growth of the new pre-Primary and Primary school in Homa Bay Village, which the Laboso Caring Foundation has also been instrumental in founding and developing over the past 12 months.
