Keep My Hubby in Australia

At this day and age, meeting people from across the seas is not only possible but sometimes results in love... and marriage. I am an Australian citizen, but my husband is from the UK, and when his work visa ends next year we must fork out close to $10,000 to afford a Partner Visa.
Reuben was searching for a cover of a song by UMO on YouTube. When he found my very small channel and my cover of the song, he introduced himself to me via social media as we were both artists, and that was the beginning of our story.
We married in August 2024, just a small event with the minimum fee, and we hope to properly celebrate later down the line.
Both of us are on the autism spectrum and I myself have lumbar scoliosis, the resulting chronic pain making it hard for me to work enough hours to save up the required amount. Reuben has laboring work on and off but, as neither of us have a car, he must rely on whatever hours he can get with a lift.
My husband has always loved Australia, since he was a little kid--he knows more about the place than I do! He is in love with the wildlife and can't wait to explore more of the country when everything is settled. It is amazing to watch him scoop up most critters he comes across and gaze at them with awe.
