I experienced my very first seizure in 2019. Not only was this a scary experience for myself, but particularly for my family and those around me.
Having felt very lost throughout this time in my life, with endless medical appointments, getting my drivers licence taken away as I was recognised as a hazard, was all very difficult.
Hence why I have partnered with Epilepsy WA, this is to bring the topic of Epilepsy out of the shadows and to show how common it actually is. 1 in 25 people are diagnosed with epilepsy.
I strive to be apart of the reason why epilepsy is a known disease an that it is okay to talk about it.
Let's do it together, and raise as much as we can to get that step closer to bringing epilepsy out of the shadows!
Epilepsy WA is a not for profit, Nedlands based charity that has been supporting the WA community since 1963. We are committed to providing support services to help improve the quality of life of people living with epilepsy and to increase community awareness of the condition to help reduce stigma.
