Dear Team, It is with immense sadness that we share the news that our dear friend and colleague, Matt Slade-Smith (aged 45), passed away on Saturday night, 7 September, at home, surrounded by his family. All our love and support are with Hanny (who has also been a friend and colleague of ours at LHC since 2007), and their sons Oliver (10) and William (7). Further details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared as they come to hand. During this period of loss and reflection, we recognise that this news may evoke strong emotions. Please remember that we are here for each other, and we have access to a wonderful group of mental health first aiders and EAP services if you would like someone to talk with. In response to heartfelt requests from our team, we have created this page to show our support for Matt and his family. Here, we can send messages of love and encouragement to Hanny, Oliver & William. Additionally, we have established a way to provide financial assistance through tax-deductible donations to a family trust fund for Oliver and William, helping to support their futures without their father. They are both currently excelling academically, and this fund can be used to support them through their remaining school years and on to university. As a team, we have always stood together, supporting one another through challenges. Now, more than ever, his family need our strength, kindness, and generosity. Let's dig deep, come together, and show Matt, Hanny, Oliver, and William just how much they mean to us. Every message, every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference.
