The Battle Initiative - Not For Profit Startup

My name is Andrew Hovenden, and I am the CEO of The Battle Initiative, a new not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the well-being and resilience of our nation’s heroes, including veterans, ex-serving members, active duty personnel, and frontline workers.

As an ADF veteran and pastor of C3 New Hope, who has walked the journey of healing from PTSd and supported family and friends with the same challenges, I am passionate about supporting those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country.

Overview of The Battle Initiative:
The Battle Initiative aims to serve the broken-hearted, guide them on a journey of healing, and teach the truth about the identity and purpose we have been created for. Our mission is to win the initiative in the battle for our nation’s heroes by strengthening their minds, bodies, spirits, and social lives.

Programs and Services:
We will achieve this mission through a comprehensive range of programs, including:

Regular Connection/Support Programs: Fortnightly meetings, workshops, and support groups to foster community and personal growth among participants.

Retreat Programs: Periodic retreats offering intensive support, reflection, and holistic healing in a peaceful and supportive environment.

Aftercare Programs: Ongoing support initiatives to ensure sustained well-being and intentionally encourage community connection with churches and services for all our participants.

Project Description:

We are seeking start-up funding to establish The Battle Initiative to effectively launch as a not for profit organisation.

The funding will be used to cover 2 of the most necessary starting points. Operational Expenses and Insurance and Legal Fees.

- Operational Expenses: AUD 15,000
- Insurance and Legal Fees: AUD 15,000

We are aware that this is only scratching the surface of the costs needed to fund the full scale operation.

Although these funds will be the "Tip Of the Spear" that gets us into a position to support our nation's heroes extensively.

We endeavour to build a sustainable organisation that lays a foundation for generations to come. This is a legacy that we can leave for the future of your family, friends and this nation.
