I am furniture restylist, the owner and behind the scenes of her small business Shabby Chic & Co in Brisbane, Australia and at facing difficult times.
My husband and planned and set off to have our 10th wedding anniversary. A 7-day bike tour in Sri Lanka and sightseeing for a few days in Thailand before returning home. It was on our flight from Brisbane to Sri Lanka 16th of March 2024, the immigration officer gave me a warning my visa had expired. At this time, it made me realise I completely forgot to apply for my Resident Return visa. Of course I immediately applied for a new visa on the 16th of March. And it was refused a few days ago. I have been in Thailand alone for over 4 weeks. I am completely alone in a country where English isn't the first language and also not my own. It is difficult to communicate, there is no friends and family.
And to top ot all off and ine of the hardest parts is that I have lost my return ticket to Australia.
The finances are getting low every day. My husband and I are trying to fix this problem and found out, it will cost over $4000 for a new visa and layer's fee. A new application forms that could take another week or months to approve or to be rejected.
I know there are tough economic times for all. If I could ask for just a little bit of help from friends and you. My budget is tight. I have beeb able to sustain accommodation where I am safe and least able to not have to carry my suitcase from one hostel to another. And, then a small amount so I can sustain myself with food and basic necessities. Any amount is helpful. I am humbled by your well wishes l, kind messages, comments l, purchases and support.
Hi Miki! I hope you get your Visa sorted out soin. Have fun with the dear Friends in Temecula. Take care! Hugs, Kati
