Welcome to the HEYSEN 75 – SA POLICE LEGACY fundraising page! We are a committed group of current and past serving members and supporters raising funds for SA Police Legacy. We will be undertaking a 75km stretch of the Wild South Coast Way of the Heysen Trail; from Cape Jervis to Victor Harbor within 24 hours over the 4th and 5th May 2024. Situated on the southern tip of the spectacular Fleurieu Peninsula, this challenging hike covers the only coastal section of Australia’s longest dedicated track. Over the 75kms, the team will work together to climb over 2000 metres elevation, navigate native scrub, pristine beaches and climb rugged cliff lines between two parks; the Deep Creek Conservation Park and Newland Head Conservation Park. As we strive to prepare for this mammoth event, we will rely solely on the generosity of donors like you. Donors whom we believe will make a significantly positive impact on our efforts to prepare ourselves physically and mentally. Independent from South Australia Police, SA Police Legacy is a registered charity that has been operational since 1989. It provides financial and emotional support to SA Police families who face serious health issues or bereavement, as well as helping to build much-needed social connection and support through activities and gatherings.
After a turbulent couple of years, your support will make sure our police officers and their families have continued access to critical support and assistance when they need it the most, and beyond. We value your kindness and support. The ‘HEYSEN 75’ Team.
