Haylo Puggies!!
We've been getting a few questions about nominating for the dress up competitions so I thought I'd pop a post in the Event Page so that everyone can get the details.
We have three Dress-up Competitions planned for MELBOURNE PUGOWEEN 2023, they are as follows:
• Best Hooman and Pug outfit combination
• Most Scariest Costume
• Best Dressed PUGOWEEN Pug
There is no need to pre-nominate for any of them - all you need to do is look for the Competition Stall on arrival, pay your entrance fee of a donation to our fundraising goal, and write your details down on the clipboards so the MC knows to call your name when it's time to strut your Puggie butt down our RED CARPET.
Yep! you read that correctly, we have a proper RED CARPET for you to show the judges your best angles so don't be afraid to show them all!!!
Please note, the Hooman/Pug combo can be adult/pug or child/pug combo.
The RED CARPET call will follow these approx. timings:
? 1230 Dress-up Competition Judging – Best Hooman and Pug outfit combination
? 1240 Dress-up Competition Judging – Most Scariest Costume
? 1250 Dress-up Competition Judging – Best Dressed PUGOWEEN Pug
So if you're running a little late, don't worry because we've given you plenty of time to get there, register, check the rest of the event out and then strut your stuff.
We're really looking forward to seeing all your PUGTASTIC costumes, and as one of the judges I know it's going to be a tough call to pick our winners.
Prizes for each competition will be announced next week, so keep an eye out to see what you could win by having a go and having fun!!!

PUGOWEEN Stalls:
• Sausage Sizzle for a gold coin donation
• Larder and Thyme Cafe will sell cakes and other goodies
• Pug Parties are offering Puggie sizing consultations with a prize for a gold coin donation
• Silhouette Grooming and Pet Supplies will offer grooming lessons and products to purchase
• Command Correction Praise – Obedience Training will set up an agility course for your Puggies to try as well as offer nail clipping for $15
• (Hooman) Trick or treat stations for an early Halloween sugar rush
... and we're still looking for more
There will be Dress-up Competitions with great prizes as well:
• Best Hooman and Pug outfit combination
• Most Scariest Costume
• Best Dressed PUGOWEEN Pug
So be ready to strut your Puggie butt down our red carpet ... yes we'll have an actual red carpet for you to walk ... and WOW the judges and adoring fans
AND how could we forget, we'll have talks from the following experts:
• Silhouette Grooming and Pet Supplies on keeping your Puggie clean in between grooming visits
• Command Correction Praise on training your Puggie with simple commands
• Pug Parties on finding Puggie fitting clothes first time every time
