Campaign to stop car idling - to protect kids health, reduce CO2 emissions, save on fuel

Idling your car for more than 10 seconds uses more fuel and emits more CO2 than engine restarting (Source: afdc.energy.gov). In Australia, findings suggest vehicle emissions cause more than 11,000 premature deaths, 12,200 cardiovascular hospitalisations, 6,800 respiratory hospitalisations and 66,000 childhood asthma cases every year (Source: Sydney Morning Herald 2023).

Every dollar raised will be spent on outdoor advertising to spread awareness and change driver behaviour, to tackle car idling as a source of avoidable air pollution. Billboard locations will be selected based on best value for money i.e. most people/exposure, so likely to be the Australian eastern seaboard. Depends on funds raised, would love to get this nationwide. Ad images are example only, so you can see the type of ads proposed.
