About
This year, I will be participating in the Gold Coast Marathon in Australia on 2nd July 2023. This will be my fourth marathon since I took up running as a hobby 2 years ago, and I hope to achieve a personal best time of under 4 hours which has been elusive to date. I will be undertaking this challenge together with my long-time running buddies, David Munuhe and Joseph Kemei; we will all be aiming to achieve our personal best times at the 42.2km distance!
I wish to run this marathon in aid of a very worthy cause, in support of the completion of the ongoing construction of A.C.K. Church Mosine, located in Mosine village, Nandi Hills, in Kenya. This is a church project that will immensely benefit the villagers from Mosine, as it will be used for God's worship as well as for various educational and social events in the community. The project is run by Mr Andrew Sieley, a former classmate of mine from Alliance High School in Kenya, through the Sieley Family Foundation. It is being built on family-owned land originally donated by his late father, Mr Nathaniel Sieley.
Further information on the project can be found here; https://mosinechurch.org/
Please donate generously to help me achieve my sub 4-hour target at the upcoming Gold Coast Marathon in July, and raise the funds that will enable the completion of the church building this year, as it is now well behind schedule.
Donations can also be sent directly to Mr Andrew Sieley quoting reference #CrisMusumbaGCM2023 via Mpesa using the number +254 720 479634.
