Our beloved friend Nosky is a single mum of two beautiful little kids Lorren (5) and Dylan (9).
For those who know her well, Nosky is a beautiful, vibrant woman with a love for adventure & a wicked sense of humour, but she is also a fiercely loyal and caring friend.
And now the time has come for all of her loved ones, family & friends to stand together, not just to show her how much we care about her but also to help carry a little bit of the weight in this next part of her life journey to lighten her load.
To share a little about the last few years and to give a little background, in November 2018 Nosky and her family emmigrated from South Africa to New Zealand. Nosky has been working as an Operations Manager at KiwiRail since 2019. COVID lockdowns, like for a lot of people around the world caused extreme stress when Nosky had to work nights with two little ones at home during the day.
Unfortunately in mid 2022 Nosky contracted COVID and then not long after started experiencing lower abdominal pain & irregular periods. A suspicious pap smear shortly after confirmed her worst fears when they notified her that she needed to go for a cervical biopsy.
On 25 August 2022 she she received the shattering news that she had cervical cancer.
On 21 September 2022 a CT Scan & a MRI confirmed that it was stage 4b cancer with metastasis to her lungs.
On 24 December 2022 Nosky and her husband decided to separate and she is now a single parent to Lorren and Dylan whilst simultaneously undergoing treatment for cancer.
The last 6 months saw Nosky doing an incredible amount of research, undertaking a 21 day water fast, receiving high dose Vitamin C IV infusions, taking various supplements and undertaking all kinds of alternative treatments to try and heal from her cancer.
A few weeks ago Nosky came accross the Jane McLelland protocol for www.howtostarvecancer.com. Jane McLelland was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer in 1994 and has managed to navigate her way through the cancer maze. She is still miraculously alive and well today despite the incredible odds against her. As Jane's situation, cancer diagnosis and prognosis was so similar to Nosky's, Nosky has decided to follow Jane McLelland's protocol under the guidance of some integrative doctors that work with Jane and alongside a course of chemotherapy that she will be undergoing for the next 18 weeks.
Unfortunately Nosky has had to cut back on her intense work schedule and the cost of the protocol adds up to about $7,000 a month which excludes some of the additional costs of doctor appointments and blood work she may require. Nosky is currently struggling with severe physical pain and taking morphine to assist, but she is still so positive and strong. A true warrior...
We have decided to start this fundraiser to assist Nosky with the crippling costs of her treatments for the next 6 months.
This will help her to feel a little less stress and pressure, lighten the financial burdens and allow her to spend quality time with her children who she adores, family and friends whilst undergoing intensive treatment.
We urge you to consider giving to this very worthy campaign, every dollar counts.
Be strong my friend ??
